“When I think about the lesson content, my goal is to free students up emotionally, to give them a level of openness and a focus that allows them to tackle the skill of acting.

Myself and the guest Actors and Directors that work with the class challenge the students to think for themselves and ultimately discover the exact intention of the the text or playright”.

The weekly 90 minute DRAMA CLASS allows our students to discover and develop their technique in an unhurried and uninhibited environment, which has led to great results!

Our lessons are designed to prepare aspiring actors for the challenge of drama school auditions and professional training.

The classes are structured over three terms:

Autumn – Discovery and Devising

This term deals with creating and devising, looking at a wide range of techniques and exercises designed to free the students up, culminating in a devised public performance.

Spring Term – Text and Character

This term is designed to prepare any of our students for the various drama school auditions they are attending. We develop monologues and get them to audition standard as well as look at scenes from plays that may influence the ability to deliver any chosen monologues.

Summer Term – The Bigger Picture

Students build on their grasp of text and dialogue and begin to explore the techniques required for screen acting. We bring in successful actors to work with the students, giving the students a direct link the industry.
